My Upcoming Kids Art Classes

I am teaching two youth art classes beginning mid September, through the Community Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. My upcoming Youth Art Classes:

Having Fun with Acrylic Paint 

Age: 8 to 11, Every Wed from 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Sep 12th - Nov 14th (10 sessions) Code 7249

Location: Center for Community Arts - Shadelands Youth Art 1

• ​Class Description: This is an all-around creative class! The children begin by exploring a fun painting technique of pressing natural and man-made textures onto paint and paper. We talk about mark making, pattern, texture, color, and design. Students discover that unlikely objects can generate beautiful and surprising art. The students will then use their original paintings to create wonderful greeting cards, gift bags, bookmarkers, and what ever else we can come up with. The children get to be creative, and the results are very fun!

Creating Texture in Art 

Age: 12 to 14, Every Thursday from 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Sep 13th - Nov 15th (10 Sessions) Code 7246
Center for Community Arts - Shadelands Youth Art 3

• Class Description: This class has fun with texture! Students will create a number of unique creations with mixed media, exploring the many possibilities of texture in art. Get ready to explore! $20 supply fee due at first class.
