Cream and Sugar
Cream and Sugar, Oil on Canvas, 6" x 6", painted edges, ready to hang, |
I just set a goal for myself to paint every day for 30 days. I will paint small paintings, allowing myself to experiment, practice, and explore. I am not putting the pressure on myself to have a new completed work daily. I am really just looking forward to making artwork without the pressure of sales guiding my efforts. It already feels great!
Here is my first small painting. Check back for my next painting soon!

J. Fromm Painting selected to adorn Steven Kent Wine
Steven Kent Winery in Livermore California selected my painting, Still Life with Wine, for their November 2012 Collector's Circle release of their Grenache wine. The wine, also titled Still Life with Wine, is a blend of three separate vintages of Grenache from the Ghielmetti Estate Vineyard. Only 142 cases, were made exclusively for members of the Collector's Circle.
I attended the release party, which was very fun, and the wine was delicious!

Oil painting inspired by Mt. Diablo ranch life
Morning Light Oil on Canvas, 12" x 16", $450 |
Morning Light, 2006, oil on panel, 12"x 16" (all rights reserved). Last year I visited an equestrian center on the foothills of Mt. Diablo. A business called Western Trail Ride Adventures rented horses, complete with experienced guides who led you through picturesque landscape, along secluded trails and creeks. I was very taken by the beauty of the rolling hills, old oak trees, barns, and ranch life. The morning light on this white horse, and the cool, quiet air was the inspiration for this oil painting.
