J. Fromm Painting selected to adorn Steven Kent Wine

Steven Kent Winery in Livermore California selected my painting, Still Life with Wine, for their November 2012 Collector's Circle release of their Grenache wine.  The wine, also titled Still Life with Wine, is a blend of three separate vintages of Grenache from the Ghielmetti Estate Vineyard. Only 142 cases, were made exclusively for members of the Collector's Circle.

I attended the release party, which was very fun, and the wine was delicious!

Helping the Cub Scouts earn their Art Badge

This was fun! After some discussion about careers in art, and where we see art in our daily lives, we had some fun with paint, clay, and craft. The kids were thrilled with the clay project. We NEED to give kids more art in schools! We all had a good time.

Portrait Painting Favorite

This was one of my favorite portraits to paint. It began with a photo-shoot. From about 150 photos I chose three photos, one of each child that somewhat reflected their individual personalities. My goal was to capture the feeling of their personalities in a comfortable and believable setting.  I was very happy with the results, and my client was thrilled!

Las Juntas Artists Association's Artist of the Year 2006 and 2007

Jeannette Fromm Artist of the Year

Las Juntas Artists:
An art association of approximately 110 members, was formed in 1973 as a sponsored group of the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Parks District. Its purpose is to promote continual expansion of the artistic talents of its members through education, the exchange of ideas and techniques, critiques, demonstrations, workshops and exhibitions, as well as to further the understanding and appreciation of art in all forms on the part of its members and the general public.
With the concept in mind of artists working together to learn more about art and to learn to appreciate art in every sense, the name Las Juntas Artists was chosen. The City of Pleasant Hill is situated on land that was part of the original Spanish Land Grant known as Rancho Las Juntas, which translates into “the Crossroads”. Juntar is a Spanish word meaning to join, connect, assemble or collect.
Thus, Las Juntas Artists signifies “artists coming together”.
