A Cup of Cocoa

A Cup of Cocoa,
Oil on Canvas, 6" x 6",
with painted edges, ready to hang.

Who doesn’t love a cup of hot cocoa? I couldn’t resist including hot chocolate to my series of warm comfort drink paintings. The whipped cream is the star of this piece. I like the way that whipped cream makes me feel like a kid excited for a present.

A Cup of Tea

A Cup of Tea
Oil on Canvas, 6" x 6",
(painted edges, ready to hang),

I decided to keep with the theme of warm cozy drinks for a few paintings. I like the idea of sitting down to enjoy a warm cup in hand and relaxing in the moment.

Cream and Sugar

Cream and Sugar,
Oil on Canvas, 6" x 6",

painted edges, ready to hang,

I just set a goal for myself to paint every day for 30 days. I will paint small paintings, allowing myself to experiment, practice, and explore. I am not putting the pressure on myself to have a new completed work daily. I am really just looking forward to making artwork without the pressure of sales guiding my efforts. It already feels great!
Here is my first small painting. Check back for my next painting soon!

Rocking Horse,
Pastels, 13.5" x 12.5", unframed,

$100

Here is another antique toy rocking horse that I picked up at a garage sale. I used pastels in creating this artwork. I really enjoy thinking about the history of this little horse and the children or child that cherished it and took care of it.
